TENTATIVE TOUR ITINERARY

DAY 1
Arrival at Kotoka International Airport. "Akwaab" (Welcome) Transfer to hotel for dinner.
 
DAY 2
Orientation, visit to tailor, tour of Accra, visit the Art Centre and Dr. Kwame Nkrumah Park.
 
DAY 3
 Travel to Prampram and the Ancestral Wall.
 
DAY 4
Travel to Kumasi & Ashanti Kingdom.
 
DAY 5
Visit Bonwire Kente Village, Ntonso, and Ahwiaa.
 
DAY 6
Visit Ashanti Kings Palace Museum, Cultural Center.
 
DAY 7
Travel to Elmina, Stop over at Assin Manso former slave market.
 
DAY 8
Travel to Cape Coast Slave Dungeons, University Tour. 
DAY 9
Visit Elmina Slave Castle, walking tour. Dinner at the hotel and bonfire in the evening.
 
DAY 10
Travel to Accra, Stopover at West Hill Mall.
 
DAY 11
Visit the W.E.B. DuBois Centre. Pick up any apparel from the seamstress.
 
DAY 12
Last-minute shopping, packing, and transfer to the airport.

Ashanti Kingdom: Travel to Kumasi, the cultural heartland of the Ashanti Kingdom. Immerse yourself in the traditions and customs of the Ashanti people as you visit the Royal Palace and witness a traditional dance performance. Experience the warmth and hospitality of the Ashanti people firsthand.

Accra: As we make our way back to Accra, take the time to reflect on the incredible experiences and memories you have made throughout the trip. Savor the flavors of Ghanaian cuisine and share stories with your fellow travelers.

The cost of the West Africa Heritage Tour is tentatively $5,500. This includes roundtrip airfare with Atlanta departure, ground transportation, hotel (double occupancy), tour guide, and some meals.
